Stop tells the site the job is cancelled and then asks this box to give it up. The render notices at its next progress tick, so a seek and settle is not interruptible and a stop during one waits for the film to start counting frames again. It is not a kill: the job is given up at that tick, and the engine is closed and relaunched only if a film was interrupted.
